Scott gained his Chartered Accountancy qualification while training with Johnston Carmichael in Aberdeen. Upon completion of his training, Scott moved to ASCO Group in Aberdeen, where he was instrumental in setting up a new group accounting function and undertook a varied spectrum of project work in addition to his day-to-day duties in the finance team. Scott managed several international assignments during his time at ASCO and is accustomed to working in a variety of different environments.
Since joining Hutcheon Mearns, Scott has undertaken several interim Group Financial Controller roles in fast-paced environments. These assignments have had a particular focus on year end consolidation and statutory reporting. Scott is now responsible for the outsourced finance function, working with clients to provide an extension to their in-house business operations.
