Andrew is an experienced senior finance professional with 20+ years post qualification experience.    He trained with PwC in Aberdeen before moving to its Corporate Finance team.  This enabled him to obtain a solid grounding in financial reporting, audit and corporate transactions.   

He then moved to PGS Atlantic Power (now part of Petrofac) as Financial Accountant where he was responsible for monthly and statutory reporting, budgeting and introducing an integrated financial accounting software suite.      

In 2001 Andrew moved to FirstGroup plc, culminating in his appointment as Group Financial Planning Director, giving him a strong insight into operating and commercial issues.  Over a period of 20 years his responsibilities have been varied but included: financial projections, investment appraisal, corporate M&A transactions, financial due diligence as well as a wide range of financial reporting areas including climate related financial disclosures.      

While at FirstGroup, Andrew had integral involvement in the acquisition of Laidlaw International; a £600m rights issue and the disposal of First Student and First Transit divisions.
