Pamela qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2006 with Deloitte, working in their Audit and SME Accounts teams, primarily with clients in the Oil & Gas service industry.
In 2006 Pamela moved into the E&P industry as a Joint Venture/Cost Accountant and then Business Analyst at ConocoPhillips, gaining experience in all aspects of joint venture and cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
Pamela subsequently spent 10 years at EnQuest PLC, initially as a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, where she was responsible for delivering monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets, and preparing financial board reports and presentations. She was closely involved in the preparation of the Annual Report and the design and implementation of the Business Analysis function in the organisation, before specialising and moving into this team as a Senior Finance Business Partner. This role provided a deep and broad understanding of upstream commercial arrangements, strategic life of field planning, cashflow forecasting, and exposure to all E&P life cycle stages – exploration, development, production and decommissioning.
