Kirsty trained as a CA with Grant Thornton in Edinburgh before moving to Lloyds Banking Group in 2013 where she was Assistant Manager for Regulatory Reporting. She moved to Scottish Building Society at the end of 2013 as FP&A Manager where she implemented a new financial reporting system and was responsible for high quality management information and analysis for Senior Management. In 2015 she was promoted to MI & Financial Risk Reporting Manager. At the end of 2015 Kirsty moved to John Menzies PLC as Finance Manager for Menzies Parcels and Retail Logistics. As well as providing financial reporting Information and commercial pricing, she worked closely with the General Managers, Finance Director and other members of the team and enjoyed her role as a Finance Business Partner. In 2018 she moved to DPD as Regional Financial Manager for Scotland and North of England where she was responsible for monthly financial and management reports and ad hoc finance projects. In 2019 Kirsty relocated to Dundee and became Finance Business Controller for Xplore Dundee (previously National Express, now part of McGill’s Buses). She was a key business partner for the MD and provided Strategic and Financial advice while managing a team of eight. She had responsibility for general accounting; payroll; management reporting; budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc business projects.
